PEACOCK GINGERS?????

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

i really like these, but can't find any, and prefer to save internet shopping as a last resort. is this the right time to ask for a trade for divisions of plants or whatever? willing to trade or pay postage.

diehrd, they send really big plants, well worth the money. Richard & Liz's Bird's and Blooms is also a vendor, as well as Gingers r'us. Lucky for you they should be hardy, so if you try some, I'd love to hear how they do over winter

Tropicanna: Thank you ma'am :)
How are your gingers doing?
Kaempferias are hardy up through zone 8, so 9a is no problem, I am actually 8b here. Was told we were 9a when we moved here, have found out otherwise since...lol
Richard put in a new ginger garden in June and it is doing so well, most things have doubled in size in just a couple of months!!
We've actually received some new Kaempferias from Thailand, which was so kewl :)
Have missed going on-line to DG, just that time of the year: busy, busy, busy....lol
Have a show at an herb festival September 29th and 30th, in Jacksonville. I'll post a thread with all the information.

Liz.....I sheepishly admit that I did not treat the globbas very well and I am now hoping they will somehow resprout from what's left of the roots. I feel so bad about it, but I am sure I put them in pots that were too big, in soil that was too damp. If they don't come back I'm trying again next spring, well worth the effort for those blooms!

what a pretty peacock in the pic Liz! :)
