New Puppy Owner Questions

Okay so many of my questions have begone to be answered in my other thread about naming the pup (who still remains nameless). It's a 7 week old male lab. I'm going to get him into a vet for dewclaw removal and fixing....what age do they do this?

But more important that all that---HELP! Okay so he's been here 2 nights and he barks and cries in his kennel in the laundry room about 4-6 times a night and DH takes him out to potty and he does each time. We cut off his food and water at 7 to help curb his night breaks but didn't seem to make a difference?

How long did your pup cry at night...days/weeks...tell me it wasn't MONTHS?

I have a 10 month old girl and she LOVES dogs but she's already not fond of the pup because he likes to nip her toes or gets to close to her ear for comfort. He's not really bitten down on her but this is just what he does while I sit right there---and it's hard to distract both with toys to amuse themselves. He's not as good at that yet.

Should he be inside, outside or both dog????
