latsyrc, how do you grow your Dragon Fruit? I have mine in a pot and recently had to cut it back because it was reaching for the sky. I'm hoping it will branch this coming year and bloom.

Hi, Kaperc, I just grow it on the ground instead of pot , and I water it once a week, had it for 2 years and start to flower this year, I just harvest one fruit last week and it tasted like kiwi, lol, never had it before. I will take whole pic of my plant and the fruits that still attach to the branch.

Two months later, there are 3 dragon fruits on the tree but I ate one so only two fruits left for my camera shot. Here is the picture.By the way, the fruit tastes like Kiwi.

Great photo showing evolving fruit! Mine has branched now in several places. I'll have to find a place to put it in the ground. Do the birds bother the fruit?

Kathleen, I dont have problem with the bird, the only live things that visited the fruit are ants and aphids, rarely I see bird land on my fruit, may be I didnt catch them.
