Sedums Wanted

Archie, MO(Zone 5b)

Does anyone have any Sedum acre (Gold moss sedum Golden Carpet Sedum) or Sedum grisebachii they could share starts with me?

Thanks in advance.

Avon, IN(Zone 5a)

I have Sedum, I don't know the name of it, but it blooms pink, w/ green leaves. Is this something you would be interested in?

crazy4bts,

Is your sedum a low growing sedum or one of the tall sedums?

Madison, WI

I have three types of low growing sedums that I am happy to share starts with.
The only problem I can't find IDs for them.

enya,

do you have a picture of your sedums you can post or email me?

Rockton, PA

I think I have some of the sedum you are looking for> Yellow bloom, It is very invasive, climbs right over low growing shrubs like blue rug, grows from any little peice dropped on the ground. It would make a great ground cover but I would not put in a garden with other plants unless they could stand up to it.
I also have a smaller sedum about 3", well behaved slower growing, yellow bloom. I think it is called stonecrop.
Dmail me if you are interested.

I'll take a picture Monday when I get outside. We are sick at the moment.

I don't know the name of this one, but would this do?

I have googled the web and checked the plant files, would love matrona snd tricolor. Wasn't going to get into any more tall sedums, but couldn't resist the beautiful colors of these two.

I am try to plant my pond bank to cover the ugly black rubber liner. Low growing sedums work pretty well.

Enya _34 I'd love to get cuttings of your low growers, could we trade in the spring?

Madison, WI

Sure, mittsy. Let's touch base in spring.

enya, your blue/green sedum groundcover is
Sedum-Blue Spruce - Sedum reflexum - If you want a sedum ground cover with dense green to blue-green evergreen foliage year around (zones 5-9 – semi-evergreen zones 3-4), then this is the one for you.
Great for Rock Gardens or any area of your garden where there is good drainage. It can stand a lot of water but does not want to sit in a bog, and also displays dome drought tolerance. Bright yellow flowers form June to August.
Here's mine!

i really like the look of Angelina, it almost glows on the tips. This grows fast and I am able to share it quite often.

Here's some of my other cool sedums. Rosy Glow. I dont cut it back and it grows and then starts drooping over. It finally is all fallen and looks like a wreath on the ground.

one more than gotta get back to work. Im making labels for my plant swap this weekend.
My friend from IL gave me this sedum, Mahogany. Its two years old and performed great. The heads still look great and bees and other assorted insects visit it daily.
Its right off the back porch and I could watch bumble bees closeup. Love the dark foliage too.

Theresa,
Thank you for the ID and the pictures. I agree with you that Angelina looks ravishing. I'll be looking for this one for sure :) Rosy Glow is a neat looking one too. I don't have this one. My most mature sedum is a 2 year old Autumn Joy that I got as a division from a mature plant. I loved it and started adding other sedums this year, so I am a newby with them. Though they seem to be forgiving of this :)

I'd gladly trade you some angelina and rosy glow for some of your canadian wild ginger. Interested?

Madison, WI

You are on, Theresa.

Marine City, MI(Zone 5a)

I can mail on monday or tuesday. will that be ok with you?

Archie, MO(Zone 5b)

enya I would love to have some starts of your three sedums. How would you like to work the postage? I can send you a paypal payment or drop it in the mail.

Madison, WI

I will send you the starts Monday and let know the total. PayPal is easier, but I don't know the exact way to calculate the fees, do you?
