Hi Everyone,
I started my first garden after moving 2 years ago this spring, I grew alot from seed that nice dg'ers donated to me to start off with. I grew my first 4 oclocks (pink) this summer and loved the smell....moved on to moonflower and now will never be without them either...got a datura to bloom and now hooked and want brugs too....
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here in the fragrant forum could send me some of their favorite fragrant seeds from their plants, or cuttings. I am more than happy to pay postage or trade with something I have....
I was online at Park Seed last night and fell in love with the Lavenders, Daphne Eternal Fragrance, Fragrant Summersweet, Heliotrope Iowa (smells like vanilla?) Can anyone offer any of these???
I see people talking about tea olive, and other wonderful fragrant plants....and am on a mission to not only grow pretty but fragrant too...
I have been collecting alot of seeds from the garden this year, but mostly non fragrant...I don't even have them listed yet but have alot to offer....or again would pay postage...please help if you can.
Thanks in advance
Have a great weekend
Gail
Fragrant Seeds or Cuttings for Postage or Trade
Wow, I can't beleive that there are no seeds for fragrant plants for trade or postage????
Can anyone help???
Gail
You should try checking the trading forums, or try looking up the plants you're interested in Plant Files, it'll tell you there whether there are people who have it available on their trade lists. This forum hasn't had a ton of traffic lately, I'm sure there are a lot of people who grow some of those who don't keep an eye on this forum all the time.
Gail,
I have Vigna caracalla and Mandevilla laxa seed if you are interested. I can't imagine my garden without them.Their fragrance is something out of this world.
Elsa
Hi Ecrane and Elsa,
thanks for the help ecrane, I will try those forums.
Elsa, would it be very expensive to mail from africa?
Thanks
Gail
Don't worry, I'll get some in the post for you.
Elsa

If your ever in usa, you must come and visit....
Thanks
Gail
Elsa,
Could you post a picture of the Vigna, I could not find it in plant files....also what color is your mandevilla,
thank you so much
Gail
I'm not sure what you searched for, but it's in Plant Files
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1884/
The Mandevilla laxa has white flowers with the most wonderful scent. It goes dormant in winter. My mom's dies down completely (it is a whole lot colder where they stay) and then it comes up again when it gets warmer. Mine started making new shoots about three weeks ago, and I'm expecting my first flowers opening within the next week or two.
Elsa,
That Vigna plant is what I have been drooling over, i know it as a corkscrew vine....I did not put the words in plant search right and Ecrane showed me the link...thanks ecrane!!!
Oh please try to send me pictures when yours blooms soon....thank you again for sending the seed....I appreciate it very much....
Have a good week
Gail
