I know this isn't the pet forum, but I hang around here more than anywhere and consider you all my friends. I'd like to introduce Klick. She was born on August 09 while crossing the Indiana border and has lived her entire life in the bunk of a transport Truck. She has been to 16 US states and 3 Canadian provinces. She is a Miniature Schnauzer/Jack Russell terrier cross. My cocker Spaniel Sandi is not a bit jealous and can hardly wait for her new sister to get big enough to terrorize cats with her. The cat's are seriously freaked out.
I'd like all my Friends to meet Klick.
Aaaaaw...how adorable. So much fun but not in the cat's opinion ;0) Klick is a unique name. How did you think of that?
Congratulatons on you new addition to your family. Klick is so cute.
Patti
Klick is a Canadian abbreviation for Kilometer. Seemed suitable since she has traveled so many of them. She is adorable...a bit young I know, but her Dad the trucker wouldn't be back here for months...soooo
Klick is just so adorable! Gosh between snows puppy pic and yours it makes me want a puppy again : )
Very clever name...and a lot of good company.
Cedarnest, my English Cocker, Margot, passed away this past December and I didn't think I would want another dog. Too hard. All it took was one touch of Becky and I was a gonner. She is so sweet, warm, smooth and silky. Plus, so loving and did I mention 'puppy breath'? A real snuggler but also so funny when she is carrying on with her squeeky toys...like a little hunter.
How cute! The name you picked fits perfect.
Such a sweetheart!
Those kittens and puppies sure are easy to fall in love with... Eliot is upstairs this morning, resting after yesterday's vet trip (neuter and ID chip and front declaw -- just like Blake, our 17 year old indoor kitty)... We've been fussing over him and fretting because he keeps trying to jump around -- and he's supposed to be lying low!
Our cousin's dog "rescued" Eliot from under a bush (we think he'd been abandoned... at around 6 weeks of age! some people), so Eliot would love Klick!
Eliot is a beautiful kitty!! He and Klick would get along fine. I have 6 kitties, all indoor, and one other dog, Sandi.
It's impossible to keep them still even under vet's orders, mine all tore around the same day after the trip to the vet for neutering.
We all survived the first night, Klick slept under my chin all night without a peep. I do not believe in crates for puppies at night, they have always slept with me from the very first day. She got me up at 5:30 needing to go out. Sandi still sleeps on my pillow curled around my head so now with Klick I think I'm gonna need a bigger pillow.
I think you're going to need a bigger pillow, too!
We'll be trying Eliot in with us after a couple of days to let him finish recovering... He's had his own room (bathroom with a cozy towel-lined nook) at night, partly because for the first few weeks we (well, Blake, who had the deciding vote) weren't sure if he'd be staying.
Crates work really well for some folks, but as long as the pup or kitten has a place where they feel safe and secure, they'll do fine.
:-)
Elliot is adorable posing so nicely in his complimentary green surroundings. Seems he went through his ordeal with flying colors. Glad you kept him. Was meant to be.
We're glad Blake "decided" he could stay. Blake was funny yesterday when Eliot was gone, though... sleeping in all the best sunny spots, so relaxed, like he was on vacation on the beach without a care in the world... no kitten to keep track of! LOL
