Are those are Japanese iris? Of course I would LOve to trade.
Let me look those up and see which ones I want you offered several, no others I have listed you'd be interested in right?
I couldn't find pics of these think you might help me out
rising sun, shiro nihonka, or pleasant journey
I really liked august emperor and I found cry of rejoice, I bet that shiro nihonka is beautiful.
Forgot to mention they are all ensatas.
I don't want to be a wet noodle here, but there is no registered JI Rising Sun. And the yellow iris you have a pic of is not a JI. At best it might be a pseudata, at worst it's a pseudacorus, and those are banned in many states. There are no JIs in commerce now that are yellow. Some are being developed in Japan, however.
The Society for Japanese Iris has a checklist you may look for the registered iris on.

Polly I know you are not a wet noodle, it's not raining today. Thanks, again. I bought that Iris as a kaemperi, I thought that was the same as a JI. It is not a pseudocarus, much shorter, I already have pseudocarus at the waters edge of the lake. The muscrat like to eat them as you can see by the chewed off stalks.
Now I am getting discouraged. I bought some plants from another nursery and found out in the Watch list, they often made mistakes in labeling. From a local nursery I bought a pink striped clematis only to find out 2 years later when it bloomed that it was jackmani.

Mittsy, It's definitely a pseudacorus, or a pseudacorus cross. Some of the crosses are shorter than the species.
Did you buy JIs? If so, I've found they and siberians from various suppliers are seldom mislabeled. I'm not a knowledgeable one on bearded iris, others can tell you the best place to buy accurate ones.
I paid $7.75 for the Rising Sun, and bought it as a Japanese Iris. It was a tiny little shoot, not like the beautiful big Pink Frost and Shiro Nihonka I just bought from HD.
I'd love to have
cry of rejoice
Shiro Nihonka &
august emperor
for the 3 you mentioned of mine.
just let me know, I can send mine out either tomorrow or tuesday. priority mail.
Is your address in the exchange,? mine is
Thank you, sending out today.
Mittsy where did you get your Shiro Nihonki at?
I love the color of yours pixie, is yours really that blue or is your camera taking a bluer than usual photo like mine does?
Well, even if it isn't Shiro Nihonkai it is beautiful, now we'll have to do some research to find out the real name. Polly and I both bought ours from the HD in Cicero NY. We'll have to compare notes next spring to see if we bought the real thing.
Oh wow! that's pretty too
pixie, that gracieuse is beautiful. Where did you get it.
mittsy, I really don't remember, i've had it for 5 or 6 yrs. now and is still one of my favorites.
