I took almost 4 weeks for that bloom to open
I forgot the name of that plant....
I also have a pink one that is almost ready to flower - I think I bought it as a mandevilla. But there is another name that escapes me at the moment. Jump in somebody !
Heather
Edited to say - I think the other name was allamanda.

thank you so much, that's the name I was searching for.....
such a beautiful flower
Do you bring it in for the winter or just take cuttings to grow on.
inanda aka Ginny
Alamanda has smaller glossy leave, Mandevilla has larger rippled leave.
This is the result of my observations, I am not sure about the botany though, I did not look for the distinctive traits and terminology.
Got one this spring and it bloomed wonderfully all summer, it is really a show stopper.
Oups, I just saw that all the answers were in the thread LOL!
Is Ginny looking for cuttings? LOL!
Could it be Vinca? I started some from seed & they look similar. They like it hot & dry, full sun. The flower looks similar to an impatient.
