Is this plant listed in the wrong place in PF?

(Zone 1)

I was looking through the different Episcia's listed in PF today and noticed this Alsobia in the middle of all the Episcia's. Does anyone know if this is the place for Alsobia? I know they are both Gesneriads, but this Alsobia an Epicia? http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=episcia&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search&offset=40

I'm just a novice with Gessie plants, but I'm thinking this is in the wrong location. Hope some of you who are real knowledgeable about the Gesneriad's can answer my question.

Never mind: I see it listed under Alsobia with the syn. episcia dianthiflora so I guess it's supposed to be in both locations. Just got me confused there for a minute!

I also see two Episcia's listed in with Achimenes?! I am really confused now!

No, episcia Chocolate Soldier and Pink Panther do not belong with achimenes. Good you saw that, Lin. Did you send an error report?

The alsobia dianthiflora used to be called episcia dianthiflora at one time but has been changed to it's present nomenclature.

No, I didn't report it to anyone, just thought I would ask here, I'm not sure how to report it. If you get a chance, would you mind notifying the proper person?

Yesterday I was searching for Hoya's in PF. If you type in the common name: hoya, you get 189 matches, if you type in common name: wax plant you get 22 matches, if you type in common name: porcelain flower you get 6 matches

So, I dmailed Panamon Creel on the hoya forum and asked him if that was correct, shouldn't they all be in the same place?. He said it would be better to type in the genus name: hoya -so I did and got 208 matches! Some were duplicates under the common name.

Lin, I sent an error report. Thanks for mentioning this.

Interesting how things come up using different search words.

Thank you Snow! It is interesting. I do understand what the guy on the hoya forum was saying about so many plants with the same common name and it's best to search using the genus name instead of the common name. A lot of us don't have a clue what the genus is. I think many novice growers like me would think hoya was the common name. Four separate areas listing hoya's is way too many. I think they should all be together, under the genus hoya with maybe a notation of the common names of wax plant and porcelain flower.

Thank you so much for reporting the error with the episcia/achimenes!

I just did a search, and they are all listed under the genus Hoya, whether they have Hoya, Wax Plant or Porcelain Flower in the common name field. I agree that it would be nice to have the common names uniform. I'll add Hoya to the common name field of those that don't have it, and I'll do a little research to see if the different Hoya species share the common names of Wax Plant and Porcelain Flower. I really don't know if they do or not. I'm a little Hoya challenged. :)
