Anybody thinking about what poultry to add or get rid of for next year. Come on show me your wish list...lol.
Ok, heres my wants (which of course are subject to change at the bat of an eye..)
Dark Brahma
Gold Laced Orpington
Blue Orpington (atleast 2 more, I've only got the one cockerel)
Silver laced Wyandotte
Silver or Gold (heck maybe both) laced Cochin (standard, I already have black and a blue)
Welsummer
Mahogany Faverolle *standard* (have a pr of salmon banty)
White Chantecler (I have some reds)
Dorking ....color undecided as of yet
Wouldn't mind adding a blue and a chocolate runner as I have fawns and blacks now.
Also have muscovies on my list of duck wants.

I know it's early but.......

I do, I do!!! 1 splash, 1 self blue silkie pullets. 1 cream Brabanter pullet, 1 WC Blue Polish pullet, 1 Silver Spangled Spitzhauben pullet, 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte pullet, 1 Buttercup pullet, and 1 Polish Frizzle in unknown color, 15 to 20 guineas in an assortment of colors, and a turkey in blue I think: ) I need to find the roos in my current clutch of chickys, looks to be anywhere from 3 to 4.
Frizzle and Brabanter were both on my list this year.... I had bad luck with hatching shipped eggs for both of these, and for whatever reason they haven't yet made next years wants...lol

I'm daydreaming about Blue laced red Wyandottes. I can't imagine a more beautiful bird. But I really want some good layers. I think I will try some Welsummers also. I have such an ecclectic variety this year with all shapes sizes and ages and they have been peice mealed together from several different place to form my sweet little clutch. So part of my fantasy is getting them all from one place, at one time, and all mostly the same breed.
My Blue Laces are pretty and even non-chicken ppl are attracted to how they look and will point at them. The light (I have 3-light and 3-dark) seem to attract the most comments.

Nice Hint MOM!!!!!!!! (Glenda_Michigan)
Too bad......I got your Christmas present 3-4 months ago!!!!! Guess you'll have to wait 'till Mothers' Day again!!.......(or your birthday)......hmmmmmmmmmm
I have all the Chickies I can handle right now and still am deciding which Banties to cull. Then there are the Family "Members" that are old timers and arent going anywhere! I am such a woos , I wind up keeping even odd roosters with no hens! I fall in love toooo easy!
.............but!.... A Wish list.... doesnt mean I HAVE to get them........Right!
BLR Wyandott
White Silkies
Silver Phoenix
Golden Phoenix
Domineque Cock
RIR
and I really really really Neeeeeeeeeeeed a Royal White Palm Hen Turkey
then I would need a few more coops......a new barn......more land......more money...... :O)!
OOOOOOOOOH! Eufaula you reminded me....three goats, a potbellied pig, and a horse. Then I'm set, I swear ; )
rotfl, can never have enough chooks. well i need more, r/c red polish, w/c blacks and w/c blues. i lost about half of the babies i ordered in due to heat waves so will need more for breeders next year. dh got me hooked on his little porcelain and golden neck d' uccles so i want to find me another color of them to raise they are so adorable!!
i have always wanted blue orps. i got eggs in for them lst year and had a malfunction in a bator needless to say none of them made it to full hatch but they were so beautiful. i'd love to try for some again.
my most wanted is standard colored bantam turkens and some kind of longtails. the turkens are so hard to find in that size and i miss mine from my last flock. i used to raise silver, silver proto and golden, pheonix but this time i think i want yokahamas(sp?), bantam onagadori or jungle fowl. they are so gorgous and one of my fav breeds!! i just want like a quaud of them so they have plenty of room for the roo to grow a really longtail and i'd love to do a breeding program with them to help preserve their heritage and beauty.
i'm sure there is lots more i'd love to have but these are all my would really like to add next year breeds. i'm starting to go through and weed out the extra roos or ones i don't want.

I'm going to get rid of some culls and see if I can find some geese, White chinese and sebastapol males
I have females.....they need a MAN
