Follow picture of older flower on same plant....

Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

Okay, take a look at this picture that was taken late in the afternoon. Granted this are not the same identical flowers, but it is the same plant. I want to catch this plant on the same day with the exact same flowers.

What do you think? Or, is this really common and I have just found out something common to some varieties of Hibiscus?................LOL

Thanks again...........

There are a number of cultivars that change colors during the day. Ones that come to mind off-hand are your Rum Runner, 5th Dimension, Voodoo Queen. I'm sure there are others as well that others can suggest.

Lovely plant!

Hello all. Karen I would have to agree with your 1st choice, looks to me like a Rum Runner does the morning bloom look like this PIC? Also the foliage appears to be the same as Rum Runner. But you never know!!!

Nice pictures of your plant, tomatomaniac. Yours too, Robert. I love it when it's in that color phaze.

Me too, both colors are lovely, but I love the magenta look best :-)
