The good news today is that Daphne, who was a tough case, went on a week-long home visit today. I'm excited for her. We had some rough times, especially last fall, when she was trying very hard to fit in and not be the underdog. I almost put her to sleep, and a huge discussion revolved around that decision here. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/668956/
I even had the appointment, but at the last minute, I realized that I hadn't tried all options because I didn't know them all. I came across a book about scared dogs and the information fit Daphne. SInce then, Little and Daphne were adopted, and Daphne became the dog that was picked on. All she seemed to ever want was to be close to a human. Other dogs she could do without.
Anyway, today a woman came to meet Weaver, and Daphne, now nearly 2 years old and with me since May 1006, charmed her and they left together. Daphne got in the backseat of her car and settled in like she had been there forever. I think she knew she finally was going to have her heart's desire. I hope it all works out.
