organic fertilizer

Does anyone use an organic fertilizer for their lawns? Does it work better than chemicals? I was going to get some from Gardens Alive but after reading the comments on garden watchdog...never mind.

I never had any problem with GA. Anyway, I use Milorganite for my lawn. I get it at HD. It doesn't work better than chemicals as far as the fertilizing is concerned. The grass couldn't care less where the NPK came from. The difference is it's slow release, will never burn and does not have dangerous toxins that find their way into the water system or possibly on your kids' feet and hands. Additional benefit is that it does deter deer.
