Does anyone know of an everblooming Gardenia bush (not the dwarf one) that will be hardy in 7B/8A?
Ever blooming Gardenia in upstate SC?
August beauty is a good one that flowers a few times a year. It's fine in full sun too.
SCNewbie, actually "Veitchii" would be your best bet. It tops our around five feet and will bloom throughout the warm months. (My August Beauty's tend to bloom in the early Summer for a while but don't seem to have repeat blooms.)
Another one would be FrostProof. Although it is grows to only around 2-3 ft it has a spread of up to 5 feet. It's bloomed fairly consistent for me here in NC.
Hope you find what you like!
Happy Gardening!
Shoe (gardenia freak!) :>)
My August beauty is flowering right now. I do get repeated blooms but they seem to go about 6 weeks in between.
Thank you! :)
