Broken Tree Help Please

(Zone 10a)

We have suffered with some very high winds over the last 24 hours and my biggest tree which was planted in the garden has split in 2. It is just a common white but i hate to see waste. It has split from low on the main trunk which is very woody and no white sap. What is the best way to save the 2 bits that have broken off. 1 of them has 4 branches and the other has 2, both have flowers and inflows still on them. Is it possible that the woody section will root or am i better off just taking the newer branches off and rooting those.
Thanks in advance

I'm sorry this happened.
In my experience large cuttings (or 'breakings' LOL) will root well. Just plant them. Be sure to remove all leaves... and if you can bear it, the inflos.....
