I also have the Alsobia cygnet from Allison! It has grown but slowly and I had two blooms on it about 3 months ago! I'm hoping it blooms again before long!
edited to say: Your plant looks wonderful! Mine is a bit spindly ... maybe I should cut the runners off and pot them up, I wonder if it would spread out if I prune it a bit?

Hi makshi....... Thanks for the link...hope mine blooms that pretty soon!!!
Hi lin,
Mine was only the main plant with 3 runners and looking spindly so I pegged the biggest babies into small pots and they rooted. When they had roots I cut them off mom at a baby and then moved tehm all into a bigger pot. Since then they have all taken off, but I also think it Marks special potting mix he uses for everything.....If I told you what it was you would never believe me.......LOL
Lauri: Thanks for that tip. I will peg the babies down in mine and see if they take root!
Uh Oh, a "secret", special potting mix, huh? Now you're gonna get our curiosity up!
Next a pic of the whole ensemble..lol...I have it tucked in a pot with a couple spiders and a plant Lin sent me earlier this spring.I potted them all together and have had them sitting outside all summer and it has loved it : ).Guess I better think of bringing them in soon but I sure don't know where I am going to put it..lol

That hanging basket looks Awesome, Nancy! It looks like a Dracaena Marginata in the center ... the tall thing above the spider, did I give you one of those?
I like that idea of a mixed basket but as fast as some stuff grows down here I'd be worried that the spider plant would strangle out the alsobia. And, those dracaena's get thick roots too. I really like the looks of that basket though and might have to try something like that .... and just rearrange and take things out if they got too tight!
Dracaena Marginata..Yes..Thats it Lin.Thank you...lol..I was tearing my house apart trying to find the info sheet and pic you sent with it.I will probably put each in their own pots before bringing them inside. It did work great as as outside basket tho..
LOL........ OMG That is sooooooooo pretty.....I may have to get a hanging basket for her...Did'nt know she got that big....now where to hang her???
The mix is small bark nuggets and compost with John Innes ...It is free draining and yet holds moisture well...We go 4 compost to 1 heaping (double handfulls) and a shot of fish, blood and bone meal.....Now that you have the secret recipe I may have to do away with you................ROFLOL

Uh Oh! Better take my address out of the addy exchange! Sounds like a good combination for plants, Lauri .... I might just give it a try!
..... wait a minute, what is John Innes? Don't mean to sound stupid. I get the bark nuggets, the fish emulsion, blood meal and bone meal, but I have no clue as to what John Innes is!
ok ... I just googled John Innes and now I get it .... it's the brand of compost!
