are you looking for a certain one? plmk

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Jane, I can bring you a division to the RU.

I can harvest seeds for Echinacea purpurea (purple), Echinacea purpurea (white) and Echinacea tennessensis (purple). I could use some Milkweed seeds to provide Monarch butterfly habitat (honestly, I don't know if we even have any anymore. I haven't seen one in years.)

If you have any seeds for something short or low-growing that has blue, purple, lavender or green flowers, I could use those, too. I'm thinking lobelia, forget-me-not, dianthus, etc.

Dmail me.

Oh, and campanula!

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

i have seeds of the double decker but not sure if they come true or not

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

My Double Decker plant wasn't even true ;(

Morgantown, WV(Zone 6a)

Bluegrassmom, Is it new this year? I read somewhere that the doubles bloom single the first year & gradually become more double.
Pam

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

I planted it last year. That may be true it had a few misplaced petals.

(Cathy), MO

My son had the double decker and he said it was normal the first year, one "half" decker bloom the 2nd, but this year it is mostly all doubles. Hmm, I wonder if he'd let me take a cutting of it!!

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Mortz- I'm not picky....I want them all and the more the better. LOL
would you want to trade or do postage for some of your doubledecker seed?LOL

bluegrassmom- Sounds like a deal! What are u looking for that I can bring you?

Spidra- I would love to trade, could I pretty-please have a pinch of all the ones you mentioned.
I have some forget-me-nots I can trade you and will look to see what else I can come up with. will get back with you in just a bit...so please hang on to that seed for me.

Pamsaplantin...love your name. I'm glad you mentioned that...I would of thought I had a deformed coneflower or something.

Cat- I didn't know you could do cuttings with Coneflowers? I don't know why I never thought of that. Of course you can.
I might need to check with my local Lowe's....you know...I don't know what the problem is with their coneflowers....but it seems like the coneflowers they have.. are so fragile....I know if a person just accidentally brushes up against one and umph!... I tell you the truth........there falls a little stem on the floor. LOL (Just kidding!) ;)

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

well not sure what you have for trade and like i said im not sure if these come true from seeds,so i guess it wouldnt be fair to trade so just send me postage will be fine

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Please see my original post at the top of page to see a list of some other seeds I have added to my seeds for trade list.

Jane

Jane, I pulled several Echinacea tennessensis heads for you today. I only have one head of the white Echinacea as that is still mostly blooming. I'll pick some regular Echinacea purpurea for you tomorrow.

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

spidra,
You are a sweetheart. I appreciate you taking the time out of your evening to do this for me. I wish I were there to to something special for you in return.
I'll look in my big box of seeds and try to find you several seeds that are like you mentioned.
jane

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Jane, do you ever collect wave petunia seeds? I have the worst time with them late in the season but I do enjoy them when they are at their peak!
I am looking for seeds for:
Moon vine
Blk Susan vine
Japanese MG
White marigolds
Triple yellow datura
delphinium

hickory, NC(Zone 7a)

bluegrassmom
i have the triple datura yellow

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Teresa,
Wave petunias are one of my all time fav flowers. Right up there with coneflowers. I know what your talking about when it gets late in the season. I have a problem with mine wanting to get leggy. I've heard that this is when a I need to cut them back and they will get full again. I've yet to try this though.
I will check my seeds, I know I have most all of the ones you listed. Morning Glories and Poppies are my thing this year.
I have many different varieties of MG seeds that I will share with you. Which one is your fav?
I have some this year that have huge blooms, I would guess measuring 6" across.
I will fix a nice variety of seeds up for you. The only one I don't think I have, is the Blk Susan vine. I have regular Blk Susan flowers but not vines.
I'll bring the ones I do have that are on your list, with me to the RU, if that will work for you.

Jane, have you checked the RU Plant trading thread? I am bringing other plants so you can have your pick of them. It is just next weekend, it will be so much fun.

distantkin, I'd love some of the Green Envy seeds if you have any left over. Currently I have Charentais melon seeds, tons of nigella Love-in-a-mist, black hollyhocks, the Echinacea I mentioned upthread, Erigeron glauca, cornflowers...

I think I can harvest some "Earl Grey" larkspur as well.

Let me know if any of this interests you and if you have Green Envy left over to trade.

I forgot to say I have "Drama Queen" poppy seeds as well as ornamental kale.

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

Let me go get the heads off my coneflowers-D-mail me if you want them.
~Robbi

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Spidra,
Can I add a few more packages of seeds the ones I'm sending you for a few of your "Drama Queen" poppy seeds and black hollyhocks?

RJ

Sure, jane.

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

RJ do you have good luck with hollyhocks? I had them a few years back and the bugs sure like them. Please save me a couple of the black ones and a few poppy seeds.
Thanks,
Teresa

bluegrassmom,

I'm the one with the hollyhock and poppy seeds. Here, the greatest enemy of hollyhocks is hollyhock rust. I don't notice pests going at them.

The first year I had one poppy I bought from Annie's Annuals and black aphids attacked it. I spread its seeds around. This year, no significant aphid problems. Although some sort of mildew/fungal thing attacked, it was late enough in the season that it wasn't a big problem.

Richmond Hill, GA

Hey Robbi, I can send you seeds for your newbie seed exchange. I will send them on Tuesday when I return to work. I would love a few of your Green Envy seeds if you have any left.
Happy gardening,
Arlene

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

I think I just sent out the last for a week or so, D-mail me so I am sure not to forget when the next bloom dries :o)
Robbi
