Virginia creeper rash????

Ok I feel really really stupid to be asking this but all of a sudden today I had a rash appear on my arms and hands.
I know poison Ivy and poison oak rashes have had both of those before is the rash from the virginia creeper the same as far as looks...ie the red spots turning into blisters.
I have not been working in the yard since last week. Only thing I have done is work with bamboo making a wind chime.
so far it isn't' itching but then I am trying to stay "cool"

this is nto good when I work in a kitchen with food

The oils from poison ivy and oak are very persistent. Might it be possible that you handled something that had been in contact with either of them, even if that contact had been some time ago? Also, sometimes it is a few days between exposure to these plants and development of a rash. You could easily have come into contact with them and not have even realized it the last time you worked outside. Could you have come into contact with some bare vines? It isn't just the leaves that have the oils, it is the whole plant. Also; don't burn poison ivy/oak--the smoke from them can get into your lungs and that can be a very real problem. Failing all of that, you may be allergic to something else entirely. As far as I know, Virginia Creeper is harmless but a given individual could be allergic to it, I suppose.

the only thing I have been around this week is wisteria vines and the wisteria that I have been collecting for baskets is no where near any other vines..I've been pulling it up along the ground by the peach trees.

Only thing I can figure is last week when I helped hubby work on the one corner that is full of vines.......wisteria, virginia creeper and dead grape vines I know were out there.
so a delay in the "breakout" makes sense I remember as a kid having poison ivy and poison oak ...I guess I just wonder as this really doesn't itch like it did back then.

Dead grape vines and dead poison ivy vines would be difficult to differentiate.

ok let me rephrase that cause dead was the wrong term to use....they were older vines that were hard brown not a green wood easy to bend but they did have leaves on them.
I guess what is throwing me off is that fact it has never itched and it is only on under side of my arms until you get to my wrists then it is around the tops of my hands..it is a light rash not covering my arms just small spots .
It hasn't spread nor broke out any place else so who knows

It doesn't sound like poison ivy to me; I remember it as being very uncomfortable. I hope the rash goes away soon, and doesn't cause any discomfort. Good luck.
