Absolutely NOT in the wrong place Kell (Yes, I hang here too LOL! - there is no escape from KK). That is a lovely flower, my best guess would be Hylocereus undatus, it looks like the stems are three-angled in the background of the photo - I have yet to successfully grow and flower this plant, but my father grew his in the ground on Kangaroo Island and It did very well there - flowered like a mad thing, and covered about twenty feet of fence! Hi KK .
What I don't understand is lots of ppl say it only flowers at night .
I took this Pic at 10 am in the morning .
And the next day it was still there .
I am still waiting for the fruit to appear ?
I have included 7 Pics in PF .
But some of the other pics there look different ?
Cheers Kell

Dear Kell,
I had a look on Plant Files, most of the pics look OK to me. If you have a specific picture you want to query send me a link to that one and I'll take a look at it. The length of time the flowers are open can be variable, but they always start to open in the late afternoon to evening and finish before the heat of the day. This is the exact opposite of most cacti, which open in the mornings and close at night, hence "night-flowering" I'm fairly sure the individual flowers don't last long, usually one night only, but cool weather and overcast skies in the daytime may well extend their life-span. Also, most cacti flowers close for good once they are pollinated as the pollen entering the stigma sends a chemical "good job, well done message" and the flower shuts up shop to minimise water loss. Perhaps any flowers which stay open longer are still waiting for a pollinator? The fruit will take a while to grow. Any flower which shrivels up and drops off completely did not get pollinated and will not make a fruit. Pollinated flowers will only die off above the seed capsule, which will gradually swell and change colour as it ripens. I took a look at your photos on PF - is that your plant? it is magnificent! Yours with plant envy, KK
