Sneezing chicks??

Auburn, CA

My little silkie chick is suddenly sneezing, or possibly coughing. I am not really sure. Is it just a cold, or something more serious?? No discharge from eyes or nose or any other symptom besides the coughing/sneezing. We isolated her but she is desperate because she is alone. Has she already contaminated the rest of the flock so we can put her back in with them, or does she really have to be alone? All thoughts appreciated.

If you have to seperate them is there any way to put her close enough that she can see the other chicks? We keep all of ours in clear plastic heat boxes until they are about 6 weeks old...that way if you had to seperate they could still see each other. I dont have any other thoughts though.

A second chick, our brahma started sneezing also and they are both stretching their necks and gasping once in a while. They have now been away from the flock for two days and they seem to be a little better. Sneezing way down and very little gasping if any. I went out and bought terramycin today and am wondering if I should give it to them, and if I should, what is the proper dosage?? They have also felt really warm and their feet feel really hot. Do chicks get temperatures?? How long before they are showing no symptoms can I put them back with the rest of their clutch buddies? Thank you so much for helping this new overprotective mom LOL.
