Took these right before it started pouring this morning. Oh, maybe that means my buds will bloom.
First up;
June's Joy
Blooms for 09-05-07
On a sad note, When Hawaiin Salmon was struck by lightning, the other night, she broke right at the woody stem. One tiny little branch survived underneath the big branch, so hopefully she will regrow.
I took lots of cuttings, which I will try to root, from the main branch, which had its funeral this morning. She was certainly one of my favs :(
Hey yeah, I started one of these earlier this morning, too! I guess it's because all of the confusion in our moves! :)

Amanda,
I like your (I mean my) enlightenment. Since we traded gardens, do I have to get the hubby too? I like having all this space to myself!
Ha ha well - I'll loan him out for your bathroom cleaning!! :) But I can't get rid of a bathroom cleaner and I love him just way too much!! :)
I heard you guys may be getting some rain? I bet it'll be a nice relief from the heat.
That's IT? My goodness, look at em' ALL! Just wonderful, Brugie! All of them! I'm really liking the unusal flower color of Key Lime Pie... so different. I have a variegated one I started from a cutting from a DG'er last winter, I don't know if I've ever heard a name for it.... It's still a baby, and I will grow it in the house this winter. Your yard must be a show place in summer!
K Brugie, hwew's what we're going to do. We will all switch yards each weel so that we can personally enjoy each others blooms!!
Excuse me, ALL glorious, Cat, too! (I get my threads confused when everyone is posting these "wet keyboard" blooms!)
Thanks you all.
I'm ready, let's switch!!
Wonder who's going to get my yard the week it's all being heaved and hauled into the basement for winter?....... hmmmmmmmmmm.... I think I like this idea, Amanda!
I think we should be safe from that chore. It's very likely that we would still be on the tour while our plants are being put away. Wouldn't that be nice? No fall cleanup.
The "halted plant parade" in front of my garage keeps getting bigger every fall. It looks kind of funny but I like it to be outside as long as possible. I start the process around the end of September, that way they can be pulled inside in case of frost warnings in October. Still dreaming of a greenhouse..
Brugie,
Love your morning glory and smokey mountain :)
I think the variegated is called "Snow Queen"
How sad, I found an 18" branch with 5 buds broken off my Black Dragon after our recent rains and it was painful. I'm trying to root mine but I haven't had good luck with any of the fancy hybrids.
Thanks Cat. I'll go mark a picture so I won't forget. I thought that was it, but I have some very white leaves. Didn't want to put the wrong name to the plant.
CAT!!!! YOU HAVE A NIGHTRUNNER?!?!?!?!?! OMG, I'M ON MY WAY WITH A SHOVEL!!!!!! :O
No way Amanda, that's not fair. I want to go with a shovel, but Texas is closer to Florida than California is!! Plus I think you are younger than me! I might, however, get from California to Texas with MY shovel when you return from Cat's place (insert dastardly laugh here)!
Plus, I want to get in on the yard trade too! Whoever comes to my house though gets to hang out with my plants, but is stuck with my D(not)H ;-) On second thought, coming to my house probably wouldn't be worth it...
Cat and Brugie, your flowers are just BEAUTIFUL today!!! Favorites, not counting the obvious Nightrunner which I covet, are June's Joy and Smokey Mountain.
Cat, I'm so sad for you about your Hawaiian, it was SUCH a beautiful plant! I really hope the rooting thing works for you.
I've only got a few blooms today too. Pictures taken after work.
Here's Voodoo Queen.
