My landscaper helped me select these crinum lilies when I redid my backyard. I now want to put the exact same type in my front yard. But I am having a difficult time identifying the type of crinum these are, as well as finding them at a local nursery (west palm beach, FL). Does anyone know what type of crinum's these are? Can you provide me a name so I can better find another one?
what kind of crinum is this?
Do you have a picture of the plant when it is flowering?
Yes, I believe so...lol I have a couple of different crinum and they all produce flowers...albeit not until they are good and ready...some take a while to get themselves settled in enough to produce flowers. Check out the Amaryllis thread, and you will find more info on crinums.
Wow, I had no idea there were vareigated crinum..lol does it bloom as well?
Yes they do.
I've only had this one about a year and it hasn't bloomed for me yet. AFAIK, the blooms are identical to asiaticum proper.
Here's a pic of the variegated one in bloom:

I'm a foliage fan too, so I'm enjoying this one "as is".
But...... I'm not opposed to being even happier every now and then with some flowers.

I know what you mean...that is always an added bonus, and sometimes a very sweet surprise! lol
