anybody?
I have some water hyacinths here and was toying with the idea of plantind them in soil in a pot to see if they would live that way. It gets very cold here for a lengthy period of time and I would never be able to overwinter them otherwise. I figure that they are not that expensive and I really would not be out anything if it did not work.
if you do try planting them in a bog like in the pot that might work but not sure never thought of doing it
if you have a place that dont get cold and some sun you can keep them over no problem that is what i do and you dont need but like 4 or 5 if you have a small pond they multiply like crazy in the spring and summer but i bet i have like 50 and i only started with 5 plants last year,i have a gh near me that i take some to and they give me some in the spring for my ponds and they keep the rest i think that is awesome that she does it but she wants the hyacanths too to sale so that works out for me
