Is it to early to dig up my sweet potatoes. It's been so dry I'm afraid the bugs will get them before I do.

Personnaly I don't dig until the first of October, but you should have eating size potatoes by this time.
Thanks, I know it was later than this last year, but the weather has been so bad for the garden in this area. The racoons ate what little corn I could get to grow. Maybe next year will be better..
"Next Year" is ALWAYS going to be better! At least, I think that is what all Gardeners believe :-)
kmom, So true as a rule. I have seen some years so good that I hoped to equal that one again in some of the veggies.
