I am living in CA.
I pup relatively easily.
I am about 4.5 feet tall.
FYI: the pic in the next post shows the flower.
What EE am I?
It does not look to be Macrorrhiza if that helps. It could be odora or maybe calidora? Still hard to say.
When I saw it, I also thought it wasn't Macrorrhiza. The leaves are different.
But can you tell from the flower? I think I remember you once saying something about the flower that is different between macrorrhiza and odora, but I can't remember.
Oh...one more important thing. I think it can self pollinate. It had berries.
Here is a macrorrhiza flower. The spath which is the hooded leaf structure over the spadix is green. On odora it is yellow but also on a few other species. They thing with odora is it has rounder type leaves and thicker stems. It looks a bit more like a giant cucullata which many believe cucullata to be a odd dwarf form of Odora. When odora is young to mid size it looks a lot like macrorrhiza but as it matures the leaves will begin to get much larger.
My cucullata has very distinct heart-shaped leaves and the stems are formed in a swirl about the axis of the plant.
Also, it doesn't get much bigger than 3 feet.
It looks like the pics in Plant Files: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53975/
Did you mean calidora?
