I don't think there is a variety named 'Wildform'. Some cultivars are taken directly from wild (or demi-wild) plants in South America and they are sometimes listed with the words wild form after their names (e.g. 'Ecuador Pink' etc). Your plant seems to have lost its name but kept the note about wild form!

There aren't all that many wild-form cultivars, so when your flowers it may be possible to identify it.

Alistair,
So Eucador Pink is one of the many 'Wild Forms' so called brugs? I'm trying to learn more of these fascinating beautiful flowers.
Thank you for your input.
I'll be sure to post pic. when this is in bloom. Hopefully next year.

'Ecuador Pink' is one of only about 30 named "wild forms" cultivated outside S America.

Others include 'Balao' (Versicolor), 'Cuba' (Cubensis), 'Dr Seuss' (Cubensis), 'Ecuador Rose' (Versicolor), 'El Whiskey' (Insignis), 'Esmeraldas' and 'Estella' (both Candida), 'Floripondio de la Costa' (Insignis), 'Goldenes Kornett' (Aurea), 'Guadeloupe' (Candida), 'Huaca' (Aurea), "Irradiata" (Aurea), 'Kaskade' (Versicolor), 'Kew '(Sanguinea), the next three rather oddly "named" at Herrenhaiser Garten: 'Nr 1' (Versicolor), 'Nr Weisse 1' (Insignis), 'Nr 2' (Versicolor), 'Oroverde' (Sanguinea), 'Peach' (Versicolor; but this "name" is plonked onto lots of peach versicolor seedlings of horticultural origin as far as I can see), 'Peru' (possibly), 'Rothkirch' (Aurea), 'Santa Maria de la Dota' (Suaveolens), 'Shushufindi' (Insignis), 'Tufino' (Aurea), 'Weisse Posaune' (Versicolor; possibly wild origin), 'Weisses Kornet' (Aurea), and a couple more recorded only with collection codes from Herrenhauser Garten.

How 'wild' some of these really were when they were discovered is debatable, Brugmansias are very closely associated with human habitation and human disturbance in nature.

There are also others from the wild in cultivation without cultivar names

There are several which are sometimes called wild forms which are clearly cultivars selected by S. American Indians in Colombia ('Ocre', 'Culebra', 'Quinde', 'Amaron', 'Munchira', 'Buyes', etc).

Interesting information. I know, personally, I've been disturbed ever since I've associated with Brugmansia ..... so it goes both ways. LOL Disturbed, sometimes spelled 'frustrated'.

mpa; the plants is challenging for those of us who tries provide or mimic its habitat. I can understand the frustration there. I understood geographical differences make the tasks become enormous for us gardeners to cope. I've met someone from Eucador according to her, the particular region she's from "Temp. is like spring time all year round". For us to provide that kind of environment is paramount. I've seen people in the hot/humid (Southern States) weather in my neighborhood left these plant out in the blazen sun of summer. I say; "That's no way to treat a lady, your woman, your friend...." actually I tried to sing that, but sorry, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. So I'm going back try to raise my brugs, and hope it blooms sometimes, for me. :-)

Alistair, your fund of knowledge about brugs always amazes me! How on earth do you keep it all straight?! I have seen the comprehensive body of work you undertook this year so that we could all benefit. Many, many thanks!
