I've got some cool blooms and a first-timer today, despite the hellish heat.
First today is Strawberry Fields Forever.
Blooms for this last day in August...
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've gotta have Strawberry Fields Forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess there were two first-timers today. This is a picture of Bluebird's second bloom. The first (a while ago) was so ugly I didn't even bother to post it. I'm not liking this second bloom too much either, and am disappointed so far with this cultivar. Maybe further blooms (when it's not quite so hot) will look better - until then, the jury is out on this one.
I am such a gaud girl. You just know I went right to your Strawberry Fields Forever, Karen. LOL
Do not say last day of August!! Where did my summer go? I haven't even finished doing my courtyard this year. I think I am getting senile. I sure am moving so slow. LOL My husband finally put in a slate floor in my secret garden spot for a small table and 2 chairs. Took him all summer. Now I have a place in the back for tea in the morning. I best use it before the rainy season makes it mud.
Kell, Strawberry Fields is definitely bold! Her pot sits right next to Lady in Waiting - so it's a little gaudy paradise ;-)
I love Strawberry Fields Forever--can't believe it didn't jump into my shopping basket on somebody's website yet! Maybe it wasn't available, can't think of why else I wouldn't have ordered it the second I saw it!
Absolutely Beautiful Karen!!! BlackJack is usually a little shy at first but by mid-day fully open. The heat has played a large roll in the shyness. Hopefully he will complete the show for you. I love the Black Jack ;-) and Strawberry Fields Forever is 1 that I must have!!! I only have a few today Magnifique actually decided to open today and not drop.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, pretty, Robert!!!!
I like Intense Passion, but those Gator Pride triplets just steal the show - I love how orange they bloom for you!
Thanks Amanda the rest are basically alot of repeats but still beautiful none the less!!!
Shoot yeah!!!!!!!!! I love yours! BTW - sent you a D-mail about the September Trade Days. :)
Intense Passion has a velvet like texture. It has a few more buds that may open soon. It's a nice change!!!
Intense Passion is gorgeous! And I like yours, Brugie!
Karen,
Strawberrie Fields and Black Jack are magnificento!
on to look at Roberts blooms of the day
Robert,
your first three pics are to die for! They look like "butta" lol.
Brugie,
Junes Dragon is beautiful. The detail unbelievable.
Magnifique is teasing me with buds, as is Gator Pride.
My Texan girls are growing like wildfire, and tiny, tiny buds are starting to appear.
Even yesterdays shipment looks like it has grown already. Is that possible?
Cat, I love your Yellow Cap; just may have to find me one of those.
Ardesia,
HVH sells the 3 color combo. Here's the link:
