Wanting to ask if anyone has experienced this in their dog

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

Stormy, my soon to be four year old boxer has a growth between her front canine and one of the front teeth. I noticed her tongue looked like it had blood on it and opened her mouth to look.
As you know, boxers have a thick lip so I had to really pull a lot of fat lip material out of the way to find it.

I intend to make her a dental cleaning appointment and ask the Vet to either take that off or do whatever needs to be done with it.

I was just curious if anyone had this type of thing in their dog's mouth ever and what happened in the long run. It looks a lot like a pink wart that you find on other parts of a dog when they get older. It looks like it may be attached at only a small point, but again it is hard to get her to let me look.

I suspect the Vet will take a biopsy of it and send it off.It is a pretty good size and I don't know how long she has had it because of the way her thick lips and teeth set back away on top hide it so well.

Stormy sure can come up with some weird illnesses.
