netting to arrange flowers

Cazenovia, NY

I wanted to arrange some dried flowers in a small basket that I had made for a granddaughter. I was out of oasis and didn't care to leave the house. Then I put on my problem solution cap and remembered that there was some left over bird/deer netting in the tool shed.
I cut off a chunk and balled it up to fit in the bottom of the basket. The flowers slipped down into the netting a it worked just perfect!
Also tried the netting in a solid colored vase with fresh flowers, perfect!
Hope this is helpful to others.

Thanks for sharing your ideas Cazgram, this is the kind of thing that helps us to try out new ideas. Lovely basket

Thanks for the complement. I haven't made many arrangements, just when I make a little basket for a faraway granddaughter and little baskets for friends at Christmas.
I grow flowers for drying and filling baskets that I've woven.
I enjoy the long quiet days in the garden all by myself!!!!
Have a great day.

That is so pretty! They look like fresh flowers! And it is even more impressive that you wove the basket yourself!!!

What is the netting made of?

I used the light weight netting use to keep deer (if your lucky) from eating my veggie garden.
Sending along a link but, I'm sure you can find it in small packages in any hardware store.
