Thought you might like to see this site. Any reference sites you particularly like?

rosie, are these invasives just in Florida or everywhere. Here in N.Texas I have several of these that I have either purchased at the nursery or been passed down.

Well, that is a good question Lou. The way I have read it is that this is a listing of aquatic, wetland, and invasive plants--all sharing the common 'water' theme. I assume, like with other types of plants - given the right growing conditions-- some can be invasive in one place but not another. I don't think that if listed as 'invasive' it solely relates to Florida. I think this site is managed by research lab/department that happens to be located in Fla. and sited at the university. I really liked the site because it is so complete and also there are the drawings as well as the photos and it separates the plants out by category. It makes the search easier if you know what you are looking for (by sight) and don't know the name. The less hunting I have to do ---the better I like it!

I totally agree with that. Pictures are about the only I recognize most things. Will check the Texas site because the last thing I would want is to introduce invasives. That has proven disastrous many places.

Thanks for the information.
