If anyone has any this fall I would love to have some. Mine are not doing well except my years old white one. Just would like a few assorted. I don't expect any great ones as I appreciate any I get. Would not turn down any double pinks or the likes :O)
But would not ask or expect any. Just the usual cast aways. I would like cuttings from the woody area as I just seem to kill the green ones not sure why. If I am too picky or no one has any Thank you anyway.
Thank you now if you will have any. You can dmail or email sym105276@gmail.com .
Cuttings
I can muster up a few. Would you prefer to wait till fall or can I send some now? JLMK
Caren
Fall would be great, but It is up to how convienient it is for you. I see you are in Louisiana so you probably won't cut back till then usually?
Either way as I am sure they would do fine. What do you think?
Thank You,
Sandy ^8^
You can cut these whenever, right?? I'm rooting some cuttings now ... first time at it so I've made some mistakes, but they seem to be bouncing back.
I can send you some in November when I do my cutting back. But it is up to you to remind me. I get so busy that time of the year digging and trying to get all of the brugs. ready to go into the greenhouse that I usually can't remember even what day I am on.
Patricia
Amanda, You are doing just fine.
Cuttings taken during the Spring and Summer growing season are the most easily rooted.
When I have branches knocked off I merely poke a hole in the garden soil , stick em in , water and let mother nature take her course. If the branches are too long I just snap them into smaller pieces.
By the time Fall cool-down rolls around I have an perfect little plant ready to be potted up and brought in for the winter, some are already bbudding and I get blooms in the house ............ Heavenly ♥
Fall cuttings are iffy to get started because they are already going into dormancy which is quite the opposite of Spring cuttings that have growth hormones coursing through their stems.
Good luck,
~Shirley
Aha!! VEEEEEEEERY interesting. And pretty Brug! Thanks!
Sandy....if you are able to come to the college station ru this fall I can bring you some cuttings, I have a pink one and a variegated one with peach blooms. Even if you aren't able to make it I am sure I could find someone to bring them to you. I will start some cuttings for you this weekend, ok?
:) Kim

ThanksAmanda,
that is one of my fav old brugs , Cupids Blush by Bonnie Vaughn.

I will be packing the last few boxes for my Cherub give away this weekend and I know I have a few extra cuttings from the extras I was stuffing in. Those extras were the cuttings I had in mind for you. Since they are ready to go now I was hoping to send them out with my others this coming Monday. Will that work for you? JLMK
