Has anyone gotten a solution for supoorting floppy limbs?
I have tried jute and stretchy tape. Nothing has worked as of yet. I had a whole limb come crashing down from Maya last year because she was loaded with so many blooms that the limbs coulsn't support the flowers.
Everyone of my brugs at the moment are loading up with flowers and I just know I am going to walk outside one morning and see all my flowers on the ground.

Floppy Limbs
I tie my large tops with twine in a crisscross pattern. When all branches are tied, they support each other. One of the tricks I learned from Monica.

ZZ, if it works and prevents damage to the plant then it's worth it. You gave me an ideal I hadn't thought of yet. I could use branched with the Y that you would use for holding a fishing rod.
Tussee I am deffinatley going to try the crisscross pattern over the weekend. I hadn't thought of that. I had been using my string and tape and going in circles around the plant limb by limb. It's along weekend so plenty of time to break out the ladder and inlist DH's help. Thanks.
Joyce, I use old pantyhose for tying up limbs or even tying them to a stake because they stretch. I have even been known to put large nails in the fence and bend them over to tie the panty hose too.
Tussee we put the crisscross method to the test this weekend and it worked like a charm. Thank you so much. You saved me a lot of misery hopefully.
I thought of using Vet Wrap.. that crinkly wrap we used to use on the horses.. It is soft and sticks to itself and comes in a rainbow of colors!
Joyce, you are funny! Sounds as bad as me, painting all my fruit tree turnks different colors because white was boreing!
I wish I had your problems. So many blooms the branches are floppy. Congratulations
I bought the Vet Wrap a couple of years ago for using to tie brugs to stakes. Works great, but when I ordered, I stuck to green instead of chosing from some of their neon colors.
