Tule Lake.

Klamath River, CA

I made an overnighter to Tule Lake and thought I'd post some of the pics I took. Warning there are 24. Being a novice I didn't name a lot of the birds, hope the more knowageable among you will let me know what they are and correct me if I've missnamed any. I'll start with the White Pelican.

The tail doesn't look right, but I think it's a female Pheasant.

Either one of the small Herons or a very young Blue Heron. Too dark to see any colors.

Very nice adel! What a great place with so much variety!

These pics don't tell the whole story. I saw hundreds of Red wing and Yellow Headed Blackbirds, thousands of different species of ducks, a double Crested Cormorant, several different song birds, sea gulls, several hawks,Blue Heron and several other birds I couldn't I.D. If you go there have a good camera with a good telephoto lens. The birds tend to be a little on te shy side.
