Low Country Brag growers

How much sun do your Brugmansias get to grow well? I have some seeds and the spot I'm thinking about planting them is partial shade. Will that work?

Brugs do well here with morning sun and afternoon shade, lots n lots n lots n lots of water and food (I don't think you can overfeed a brugmansia). They can take blazing hot sun if well hydrated and fed .. the only difference is that they grow very slowly if they don't get some shade. Between noon and 3 pm they have a tendency to wilt, but bounce right back by evening.

All of mine are in the ground and they come back every year. This summer has been very bad for my brugs because of the drought and relentless heat.

Where I want to put them they would get sun from sunrise till about 12. Then again late in the day. I'm thinking that's the right place for them. Basicly I have 30-40 ft pines running directly east to west, cameillas in between them and hydrangeas in the darkest spots. I'm thinking the brags would be a nice touch here and there.
