I'm a first time dog owner. Our dog has started scratching his elbows from time to time. He has 'Frontline plus' flea treatment and I use a 'Preventick' collar on him. I never see a flea on him and no ticks either.
He doesn't scratch all the time. Is this just my imagination or does he scratch when I can't pay attention to him? Is this a summertime thing? He has his own kiddie swimming pool. We live in the country on 5 acres. He gets 30 minutes of free walking with me in the morning and evening through the woods and additional playtime with hubby. He looks healthy otherwise. He is about a year and 4 months old.
