Lovely bird! How many do you have?
i have 9 bantams and "the red baron" i've had the baron for four days and the banties won't let him play so he's pretty lonely during the day. i'm thinking of adding a red hen or a butterscotch (buttercup i can't remember what it's actual name is) hen to even it out. problem lies with coop size. i think i need to give some bantam chicks away first.
I wish you were closer! I'd set you up with a female friend for the baron. :) Maybe they will accept him after he's been there longer. How big is your coop?
not big enough right now it's 7' x 4' x 4'. we're working on a 14' x 6' x 9' in the back but lumbers high it's taking to long. i think he'll be fine, once he figures out he's older and bigger than the rest, it will be the bantie roo i'll be worried about then. thanks for the offer though after i give away 2 banties and get the coop finished i'll get him a woman. until then he's my red head and i'll watch'um strut. have a good day!
