Hey they are still all so pretty! I just bought Lowes specials today myself!

Your hardy hibiscus is going to be so pretty and so huge and so PINK! Lucky you! They just do not do well here, I think they like some cold. I will be interested in how it does in your area.

Me too! All NINE days of winter in my area!! LOL

Last year winter was for week and a half in February.... And I wore a tank top and shorts on Christmas. And I was sweating.

I have several of the hardy hibiscus and I love the fact that they bloom for so long. It's too bad that each bloom won't last more than a day.

Pebble...Hi. It's been a long time. Yes, they do get that big. Even tho the picture shows what looks like three blooms, they are still huge. Mine are getting smaller now as the last of the buds are opening, but they have sure put out a lot of color this year and they didn't need any spraying or watering in our very dry summer.

Brugie, How have you been? It's certainly been a while.......I just moved back to the USA, so I have more time to spend on Daves.......
I cant get over the size of this hibiscus. Will it grow in the cooler climate of oregon/wahsington? Would now be the time to look for these so they can acclamate themelves to our temps?

I honestly don't remember when I bought my starter plants, but it seems like some of them were purchased in the fall. You can get seeds for many of them too. The newer hybrids are really hard to get seed from. I'm going to try my hand at rooting cuttings next year. By following Gloria's instructions for pinching them back, maybe I can get some of those tops to grow. LOL! Bet you are glad to be back. We are glad you can be with us more now.
