Salt Marsh Tiger Moth (Estigmene acrea)
It looks like you kept the moth for it's entire lifecycle. I have a caterpillar in a late instar and I'd like to keep it through its pupae stage. Do you have any hints as to how to encourage it?
They normally pupate in the soil, so if you have soil in the container the caterpillar will bury itself in the soil and pupate there, and come up later when ready.
I had a folded napking at the bottom of the container and the caterpillar went between the folds and used it in place of soil.
You can do it either way, good luck, it is a lot of fun.
