I bought the plant today. I don't know what it is but thought it was pretty. Anybody have a clue?

Unknown plant (to me) ID help please.
Very nice Philodendron's but I don't have a clue as to which ones. I really like them though! I would have thought one of the experts would have responded by now, maybe since the weekend is over someone will come along before long and see your post and help with a proper ID.
How big is it? What size pot is it in? From a guess, I'd say it's a young P. selloum - it's extremely popular and are sold just about anywhere plants are sold. It's "the" philodendron that anyone who's gonna try a philodendron sells because...
It's very easy to grow. It's not tempermental. It's hardy as far as philos go. It's hardy here in Houston, so if you are zone 9a, it's probably hardy for you, too.
Carter,
Its in about a six inch pot. It just looked different from my selloum. Man can I be fooled. LOL Yes I am in zone 9a. I'm just north of you in New Caney.
Thanks.

Tami is it Xanadu?
Yound selloums very a good deal from mature ones - they look just like that, in fact. ;) I don't think it's Xanadu. Those leaves look larger than a Xanadu's will ever get. Plus they look a little wider and with more prominent back lobes.
I still think it's a young selloum. Put it up in a bigger pot, grow it out for a while, and then we can try again. If those are juvenile leaves, they could change dramatically as the plant grows.
Yeah,
This is nothing like my Xanadu. These leaves are thinner than Xanadu's firm leaves. These are more floppy.
