I have some fresh Ed Brown (the picture is ed brown) daylily seeds and some 1 year old seeds of un-named pink, white, lavender and bi-color. (You are aware that it can take years for daylily grown from seed to produce flowers?)

I also have all sorts of mixed canna and cocks comb.

I'd be interested in your Morning Glory.

Connie some of the daylily seeds are open pollenated and some are named crosses.
The cannas are O. P.
The Celosia/cockscomb, and the Columbine I'm not sure about. Some of the Columbine may be by cultivar which have been purchased. I haven't grown any that have flowered yet.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Sounds good Deb,

X ran outside to get a pic of the pink and white one found and there was a different one blooming next to it. (different vine)
Neither have set seed yet.

Connie,
Hope the old saying "better late than never" is OK with you. I am putting your seeds in the mail today.
It took me some digging in my unorganized seed box but I have finally put you together seeds that I hope you will like.

Jane

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks Jane, thats fine by me :o) All the seeds I get now are going to be done as WSing but in the gh lol I do have a few 1/2 gal jugs I will be sowing some seeds in outside... So not in a big hurry here ;-)

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Got your seeds today, Connie. Thanks Bunches! I'm wintersowing all of mine too. I don't know why I've been hoarding seeds in a box like they were gold coins are something. lol
Glad you finally got your long awaited for greenhouse. Show pictures sometimes.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks Deborah got yours yesterday. :o)

I got a question, hope one of you know the answer. I received some french vanilla marigolds in one of the swaps I did. I can't remember what the seeds looked like. Do they look like other marigold seeds?

I got on plant that came up. I love the flower on this one but not sure when to collect the seeds from it. I also have some other type of marigold, can't remember the name of them, but they are as tall as I am with really pretty orange (2 types of) colored flowers on them.

Thanks Connie

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Connie,
I have the french vanilla marigold and the seeds look just like any other marigold seeds to me.
I also have the sparky dwarf.....I love this one and diff. colors of the tall ones. Marigolds are supposed to be good about keeping the mosquitos away....so I will always find a spot for them in my yard.
Have you received the seeds I sent you yet. Some were from trades or swaps I've been in, so I didn't know what color the canna's were. If your anything like me, it's kinda fun to see what we end up with.
I took a few seeds and shared a few with you.

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Hi Jane, YES got yours yesterday too :o) should of mentioned that.

I don't know who said that marigolds will keep skitters away but it sure didn't help here. my dh loves marigolds of all kinds and has planted them everywhere around our yard for years. never helped in keeping any kind of bug away or rabbits out of the garden lol

I don't know what it is about the mosquitos, but they are the worse this year than I have ever seen them. I heard Ohio was going to start spraying again for them. I wish Michigan would. but when they spray they usually just do around town. but that would get the population of them nasty things down.

If you have extra of your french vanilla and the really tall ones (dh loved them) please send me some. I got a neighbor that wants to try them too and I only had two flowers on the french vanilla one. I plan on using every one of those seeds in my lasagna bed. Thats if I have any seeds, I told dh to keep a watch out for them and not to get them mixed with the others he has growing.

If any body has any clarkia seeds, I am looking for all colors but white.

Thanks,

Connie

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Connie,
I'll go thru my seed box this week-end and send you some of the french vanilla and tall marigolds. Do you like the tall Zinna's? I have plenty of those as well.
I just remembered that I have some seeds, that I was saving just for you... for one of the RR's and something came up that I had to bow out, so if you want I'll send you some of the "Foamflower"
The mosquitos have been unusally bad here as well, I've been rubbing down with Avon's Skin So Soft. It works pretty good...but I still end up getting bit. I even wear a mosquito band around my ankle when working in my flowers. We've had several cases of the West Nile Virus here so it pays to be careful....especially for the little ones.
Jane

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes by all means send them on :o)

I have never heard of a mosquito band, hmmm interesting
I can't use the skin so soft :( but I heard it works good.
Yes I have heard that the West Nile Virus was here in Michigan too. Not sure what part of the State it has hit in tho. But always kept it in mind. So many things it seems is happening all over the place, diffently not like it was when we were kids.

Connie,
Since you have a greenhouse, you may be interested in my offer. I have 13 of Gordon's picoteed datura that I grew from his seed. They are about 15" tall now but would need to go into the greenhouse to bring to bloom. I would send two of them in exchange for these seeds if you get more than you want to plant from your offers: daylilies, canna, columbine, cleome, cosmos.

PLMK,
Louise

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Sounds good Louise, will get them in the mail to you Monday :o)
