Is Bilobata's botanical name Tsangii?

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Please excuse my ignorance. I have an EA hoya that is labeled as Bilobata, I was checking the EA web site, and it says that Bilobata’s botanical name is Tsangii.
Is that correct? I ask because I’ve read in several postings they label incorrectly.
Sorry to ask such a silly question but as many of you know I’m really new at hoyas.
Thank you.

Quierida...your question is totally reasonable given the atrocious manner EA labels their hoyas!!!! No need to feel silly - we are all there with you....

The history of the misnomers is not really relevant...and I get lost everytime I read it. Boiling it down: there is a hoya that has been labeled H. sp. DS-70/H. burtoniae/H.tsangii. However....H. bilobata is a totally different hoya from any of these. Are you confused yet? Hoya bilobata has NOTHING to do with the plant you bought (probably...unless EA has finally found H. bilobata which I doubt....HAHAHA).

What you probably have is the H. sp. DS-70...the flowers have a lovely buttery fragrance and the leaves get a lovely red in high light. One day one of the hoya mavens will figure out what it is or isn't and we can all change our labels again!!!! :)

GREAT luck finding such a super plant!!!

Caro.

Thank you so much (as usual). I’m trying to learn about the hoyas I have, but it is so hard when you have two plants that look the same and one is labeled as bilobata (an EA) and a smaller one that I was told was a SP70.
I’m so glad you are here, I guess I’ll keep asking for your help if you don't mind.
Take care and thank you.
