Hi Joanne, Ginny, Pam, Glenda, Sandy and Bea. Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I had an awesome birthday. The pain of losing my Mom on my birthday has lessen so that I can enjoy it.
I'm really sorry for not responding sooner. I haven't been myself lately due to health and mental reasons...lol! I think I'm getting back to my normal self.

Oh Donna! I'm so terribly sorry that you have had to deal with such a loss on such an important anniversary, and equally glad that the pain is finally lessening for you.
My Mom always said that she found it heartbreaking to see people lose someone important to them on an anniversary, holiday, or other completely unforgettable day, and that if she had a choice she would choose a "nothing special" kind of day. Then she did exactly that when it was her time to go.
But I always was a difficult kid so I went and ruined it all by moving in with my new husband on the first year anniversary of her passing. It was a bittersweet moment when I sat in our kitchen for the last time just prior to leaving, but I know she would be pleased that my new beginning happened on that day :-)
