I don't have experience with either of these companies, but I would like to sugggest that you look at www.oldhousegardens.com. I have ordered for two years now from this company and am very pleased with them. They specialize in heirloom bulbs. They are a small business with an excellent product and service. Also, anyone who lives in the south will be able to find bulbs suitable for a warm climate.

I've ordered from Vanbourgondien in the past, their regular priced bulbs are fine but stay away from the "$5 Specials" in the back of the catalog. Those bulbs are usually undersized. I don't recommend them for perennials either. Old House is a good source as previously mentioned as is Brent and Becky's http://www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com/. Other good sources are John Scheepers http://www.johnscheepers.com/ and Van Engelin which I don't have the address for at the moment.

Bloomingbulbs.com has been used for the Gladiola co-op (they all came up & mine are starting to bloom - I planted them late) & I just ordered a lot of tulips & crocus from them for co-op. Julie

Can we still order some more Glads and Tulips through this co-op?

Annasahi, the glad & tulip co-ops are done. (well we're waiting for the tulips to come in, but they have already been ordered). Keep an eye out in the co-op forum for upcoming & ongoing co-ops. Julie

Debi, I was in my WalMart yesterday, they have packs of assorted bulbs. They wew displayed in their wooden shipping crates, which had the van Bourgondiesen, Holland name stamped on them.
