Front facing display
Pretty whites and yellows. Are the tall yellows forsythia? They're nice. I noticed your white lily looks discolored from the pollen. Have you ever tried snipping off the tip of the stamens to rid of the pollen before it makes a mess? I usually do that to keep the lilies from staining. Or do you like your lilies natural looking with pollen and all?

look more natural! Oh yes the flower club would not approve!!

Sorry, I forgot to say, yes Forsythia, and they were from my mum's garden!
You have Forsythia blooming in September? Wow, it blooms here in April/May. What cultivar? Gorgeous design!

I love your arrangements. Although you call it traditional, you put a new twist on it. I want the yellow and blue arrangement for my entry. Could you just pack it up and ship it Alabama?
I can't put my finger on it but I believe it is the way you shape the arrangements.The purple and yellow is so unusual, but would fit in any setting, formal or casual. The last one has such an implied triangle, which I have never seen before and the color choices are fantastic. I love the foliage. You are able to balance the arrangements so well to make it look symetrical without being symetrical. Does that make sense. The large pink flower, and forgive cause I don't know the name, is balanced so well by the smaller purple flowers.
Keep up the good work, because even if you think no one is here, they just might be. I am constantly coming by to learn something new. You too Karma. As a novice who has plopped flowers in a vase all her life, I really appreciate the effort ya'll put into this.

Terri, how could I miss the lily? It was front and center, the main focus, the cream of the crop, the cake on the icing, etc. You did a fantastic job using it as the focal point.

I just enjoy myself being a bit of a rebel!!! Although I do know what is required, then again who said? and why?
Obviously the mechanics must be done correctly, to avoid accidents.
If you are happy with something then leave it like that.
A colour wheel is really helpful, using complementary colours works! purple/yellow, orange/blue and red/green.
then shades of those colours will add more interest.

Terri, that is my favorite front facing arrangement. The foliage is beautiful and I love how it complements the pot. So that's mimosa...I've never seen it before. Really pretty. I like the shape very much. I'm really bad at this type of arrangement because I find it hard to get a shape like that. Plus, it requires a lot of foliage and flowers. I'll see if I can work overtime to splurge on a big bunch of flowers..haha!!!
That's where you are wrong Karma, this sort of arrangement does not need many flowers! the triangle shape can be achieved with greenary, just because I go over the top with flowers most florists don't. Please do your own thing, I'm not an expert!!!The basic shape is a triangle but the lower part is put in at an angle coming towards you and not
sideways as you would imagine. The side view should be pregnant, not flat!!!
If you ever get a chance to smell that mimosa, it's beautiful and there's nothing like it. very expensive over here ,

Those white berries don't belong to russian vine, do they? I looked up russian vine, and most of the articles say it grows really fast and will take over the garden, and it's not a good idea to plant it! Most were websites from the UK. It must be native to England?
The white berries are not russian vine, they are from my mums garden and I don't know the name of the plant!
Everyone says that about russian vine, and it is true it grows vigorously, but I like it! It has taken a few years but it's on a trellis and grows upwards so doesn't take up space in the flower bed.
Beautiful one and all! If I had to choose a favorite, I would go for the third one with green mums and yellow roses. You are a creative and talented dynamo Miss Terri.
How is it that you do have forsythia blooming in late summer? Is that typical?

This has to be one of my all time favorites you have ever done, and that is a hard choice. What kind of container is that? And the purple and red look great together. I love the lines and the simplicity of the design. Altough I did love the carnations and grass in the cafe. You make it too hard to pick a favorite. I still love the "bud vase". Do I sound indecisive?

The container was quite small it's a wooden thing with moss and bamboo decoration on it.
I love it. I figured you put the moss on it.
