Hey everyone, I don't stop in this forum often, but every time I do I can't leave, LOL!
My b-day was last month and I decided to buy myself a pet shampooer. I have back problems and we also have 3 dogs...a DoberDude, a Chow/Lab mix and a Sheltie. Bath day usually leaves me on the couch hurting pretty badly. With 3 dogs it's just too expensive to take them all to the groomer. They are primarily my dogs (my babies!), so it's my responsibility to at least help with their maintenance. LOL.
I got this Pet Jet on-line, but later have seen it at Wal-Mart. It costs just under $30, but is worth sooo much more to me. Here's the link to the manufacturer's site. http://www.m2pets.com/xcart/product.php?productid=1&cat=11&page=1
It has a reservoir that holds shampoo and it sprays the shampoo right onto the dog. No glob of shampoo to try to work over their whole body. No wondering if you got their whole belly done. It also gets right down to the skin...where the dirt is. And WOW does it spray out the suds!! It also seems to get rid of a lot hair that is being shedded too.
We use it outside, hooked up to the hose, and it's awesome! Especially on the Sheltie's double coat. Getting them to actually be wet is like getting a duck wet, lol. Even our oversized DoberDude is done in about 10 minutes...start to beginning to dry him. I've used this with TropiClean shampoo and cheap shampoo from WM. Your instructed to dilute the shampoo 1/2 with water.
I've also filled the reservoir w/ diluted dishsoap and scrubbed everything from garbage cans to grapevine wreaths with it. If you do the dishsoap make sure you really, really dilute it, it lasts forever, lol.
Now I can bathe my doggies by myself (I feel like such a big girl, lol)...for the price of one trip to the groomer. They all feel as nice and clean as if they came from the groomer too.
Just thought y'all might be interested in this...and I'm interested to know what great pet products y'all have found that you just can't live without?? Please share!
