This is the first time I've ever had a cluster of plumie flowers like this! I've always been so envious of all the photos posted with clusters, (is that what they're called?) and now I have one! This is Puu Kahea...
My cluster
Congrats, Louise! Yay! It is sooooo beautiful!
Thanks Clare, I can't stop going to the side of the house to admire it! Is this a different variety than the others I have? The others seem to just bloom one at a time, not in a cluster. This bloom has lasted longer too.
Beautiful, Weegy! What are you feeding yours?
I picked up a rooted cutting at Wally-world yesterday for $6. They had big ones for $10.50, but no colors marked and I wanted a white one. Besides, this is a nice sturdy cutting, where the others were very spindly looking.
Ummm, I hate to admit it, but I haven't fed them yet. I bought some tropical plant fertilizer from Armstrong's but haven't applied it yet.
I bought another one at Armstrong's while I was there, the name slips this old brain right now.
Clare, is there one called Mystery? I got a bonus one and the tag says Mystery...or is it a mystery as to what it is???
Thank you so much!
Louise, some tend to bloom a few flowers at a time, and some bloom in big clusters like that. As trees mature, they tend to bloom more in clusters. Jennifer at MPG sends out "Mysteries" as gifts with purchase, which are unknown, unnamed plumerias so it could be anything, but she has said that most of her mysteries really are mysteries in that the name is unknown or that it is an unnamed plumeria. Congrats, again!
Yep, it was from Jennifer! Ok, mystery solved! Thanks Clare.
That's gorgeous! No wonder you keep going over to admire it! I would too! ;-)
I'll be over there tomorrow to admire again and the next day.....
Thanks so much.
