The buds on my brugs swell up to be around 3 to 3 & 1/2 inches long before they open up. My Miss Caylie x Genevieve's bud is 6 inches long at this time (still not opened). Is this significant of anything?

I have some plants that get buds that big before they open. I wouldn't think about it; some plants take longer to open. Not a bad sign in my opinion.
She is just testing your patience. Put a light behind her at night and you can see the progress she is making through the calyx.
