I dont think they are large enough to flower in Berkeley-or anyplace in the good old USA. And that flower stalk looks identical to what I posted as Rock Brahea on DG. THAT,flowers at such a short height-its more flower than palm-lol.

You are no doubt right and seem to be knowledgeable about this plant, I on the other hand was going by name tags. I am planning a trip to Berkeley Bot this week and will meander over to the palms and have a look at them and their labels. Thanks for bringing this to my attention BayAreaTropics!

I was there for the plant sale-I didnt even see the Juania or label-Could have missed it in the rush. I'm near certain with a cherry on top that's a Brahea bloom, Kell.
