I have a few Passiflora incarnata if you are interested.

I have rooted incarnata and incense to trade for your Passiflora Maliformis and
Passiflora Vespertilio if you have some rooted or for seeds. LMK

Port Saint Lucie, FL(Zone 9b)

Charlene, I definately have some fresh maliformis seeds in pulp for a rooted incense. My maliformis and vespertilio babies are only about an inch tall and too young to travel I think :)

I would be willing to wait a few weeks for them to grow as I hate waiting for passion flower to sprout. If you want to do that I would be fine with it. I would send yours on if you like and you send mine when they can travel. LMK

They look so nice inside for the winter in a hanging basket. I love the fragrance especially of the incense. It has nice coloring. Both of these varieties are very hardy. They die down here in 8A but come back strong every year. I love passies. I wish I could have some of them all!

Port Saint Lucie, FL(Zone 9b)

Do you have lady margaret? I have a cutting that I think has rooted

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I had it but I didn't get it inside in time last year. I love it! So that would be a great trade for a rooted incense. Do you have incarnata? If not, I'll send a rooted incarnata for the seeds of the maliformis.

Port Saint Lucie, FL(Zone 9b)

I don't have the maypop incarnata but very invasive in my 9B so probably want to stay away from that.

lets do your rooted incense for my rooted lady margaret and I'll send you some fresh seeds.

Will ship Priority on Monday so it won't sit in warehouses on weekend.

Check your d-mail for address

I am new to these plants and just got the seed in trade-am I understanding this? Can I grow them in the house? I am a bit annoyed with Mother Nature this year as it is my first year gardening-just bought my yard (LOL) in May and we have already had our first frost! Another coming tomorrow! So if I can find some really great outside plants that also do well inside-I would be sow (tee hee) happy!!
Please let me know :o)

Robbi, You can definately grow them inside, just be aware, these need a lot of patience. I have about 10 different "species" and some have yet to germinate and they have been working on it since beginning of August. I am suing a heat mat and artificial lights with no luck on 7 of those 10 species

Robbi,
You can sow them inside. Soak for 24 hrs. in orange juice the acid helps them to soften for better germination. Use a heated covered seed starter and keep at 70 degrees.

They will look lovely in a hanging basket. You may need to divide them depending on which seed you are referring to. Incarnata will put up little sprouts along the root system thus needing to be cut and separated. Mollymissma also does this. Most of the others are not as aggressive.

Enjoy!

I agree with maydreams. Passionflower seeds will drive you crazy waiting but it is a wait worth enduring.

Chris that sounds great to me.

I have Maypop (incarnata). Oh I am soooo excited-so if I can get them to germinate, they can live in a hanging basket until Spring? This is great!! Thanks so very much!! I am off to get orange juice! Robbi

distankin
Do you want to trade something for a rooted incarnata?

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

saddly I only have seeds. I have many many different kinds of seeds-I do have Marshall's Delight Monarda that I could send oh and Hosta's that are not doing to well because they are in to much sun and I have moved them twice this year. Other than that it is just seeds.
I have many in my stash if there isn't something in my have list that interests you.
Let me know I would love a rooted plant!!!

Charlene, you did the same things as me, you may want to delete your address and send it in a D-mail. I posted mine also and then relized we were in a thread, not a private email

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks Chris, I didn't think about that at all.
