Need suggestions!!!!

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

I have a very huge wooden fence in my back yard with two metal ones on either side. the sides get a TON of sun and I plan on doing some vines along those for color and texture...but that leave a very big very boring wooden back drop to my yard. The Back is lined with trees so the fence doesn't get much sun...does anyone know of a vine or climber that would take such low sun but would be something other than more green (the trees give more than enough of that :)) I just keep turning up nothing...I ran across the passion Flower but when it says Full Sun, Partial Shade, Shade doesn't that mean it can handle all but really needs the variety to do well?? And yes if you haven't noticed i'm a newbie with vines. The Sunny fences I'm going to cover with Clematis and Passion Flowers as well as a climbing rose or two...and yes they are huge really long fences which are metal and BLAH on the visual factor! I'm in Zone 7, sorry that is important and I almost forgot! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I do know that my passionvine is great in full sun for the Fritillaries but the longwings like the passionvine that is shaded. Best bet is to find a vine you like and look it up in plant files. let me look to

You sure can, you can put anything in that search file. If you are looking for info on a certain plant or bug or caterpillar, anything..just type it into the search box up there on the right and it will come up with related threads.
Also, if you are searching for like Passiflora edulis and type that in, some threads minght be about it that people have posted but if you see one that says plant files, that will bring you to a thread that you can see pctures and growing info on the plant. it is very cool.
